Accessibility Resources: Cripping the Arts

Several PAONE members attended a fantastic event in January! Cripping the Arts 2019 was three days of programming – panel discussions, co-creative workshops, exhibitions and performances – animating how Deaf, Mad, and Disability Arts and activism changes how we experience art and culture as well as the ways our sector contributes, and leads to, the achievements of disability rights and justice movements. PAONE @ COME FROM AWAY - JANUARY 16, 2019

Mirvish Productions welcomes  PAONE to a matinee performance of the hit musical, Come From Away. Enjoy a pre-show networking reception, observe a post-show school Q&A with the cast, and learn about how Mirvish develops its educational programming in a post-show chat with Denise Anderson, Student Outreach & Education Coordinator.

ICYMI - October Event Highlights
On Monday, October 29, 45 PAONE members, artists, and administrators gathered at the Toronto Centre for the Arts for the Learning from Indigenous Culture and Teachings in the Arts conference and PAONE AGM.

After 26 years, including eight seasons as the Chair of the Board, arts education and community engagement advocate, Patty Jarvis, has stepped down and is moving into a new role as Advisor to the Board. Read about the history of PAONE and Patty’s immeasurable contributions.
